There is a great mix of interesting people in attendance, and along with a stunning performance from Adam Thomas and friends and a delicious chocolate fountain the event is set to be a fantastic evening!
If you would like to come along but haven't received an invitation yet, please email leah@goldenappledesigns to request one!
Planning for the next event is well under way! The next event will, again, take a different format, this time a glamorous cocktail party!
The venue will be based in Leicester City Centre and the event will take place from early evening until the wee hours, with entertainment from a very awesome act, and goodie bags for the first 50 guests to arrive! (if you'd like to add something to goodie bags, let me know!)
If anybody would like to contribute to the event (last time we had gorgeous cupcakes from Can de Cween Cupcakery and a super fun photobooth from Darren Cresswell photography) then please get in touch!

On Sunday I hosted the second Leicester Wedding Club networking event. The event took place at Shearsby Bath, a wedding venue set in the beautiful Leicestershire countryside.
Whilst the theme of the event was a Summer Garden Party the weather let us down, so it would have been better named an Autumnal Marquee Party! Despite the dreary weather 35 lovely people came along for an afternoon of gossip, giggles, and cupcakes with some photobooth fun thrown in!
Before the event I spent the morning creating these pretty name tags for the guests - much prettier than a plastic name tag, don't you think?
I had such a lovely afternoon, with lots of lovely, interesting and fun people in attendance, and was pleased to see some new faces as well as some familiar ones too!
It was great to meet some new people too, such as Elizabeth from Elizabeth Hall Wedding Planning, Beth from Bettie Lottie Make up (make sure you check out her website, it's gorgeous!), Emma from Emma Fay Make up and the lovely ladies from Coco Angels.
I had a fab chat with wedding club newcomer Matt from Matt Glover Photography, who has some lovely images that I hope to feature on the blog very soon. The day was punctuated by trips to the photobooth set up by Darren Cresswell photography, complete with summery vintage fabric to complement the theme.

Thank you so much to everyone who came - it was great to see you and I can't wait to start planning the next one!

The date has been set for the Leicester Wedding Club Summer Garden Party! The date is Sunday 4th September - put it in your diaries and click here to RSVP!
Firstly, it has been a bit crazy here after the first event, so apologies for the delay in announcing the next one. I had some issues with the venue when planning last months Evening Drinks, so they didn't go ahead unfortunately. Also with it being well into Wedding season now, I thought we should probably have a little break during June & July.
I am now in the process of planning the next event (hooray!) a Summer Garden Party, which will take place at the end of August/early September, and there will be sunshine (hopefully), chat, nibbles and pimms, in beautiful surroundings.
I haven't set a date yet so if there are any preferred dates then please write them in the comments box below and I'll try and go with the majority! If you don't have a google account and can't comment here, then please do so on the facebook page.
If you're interested in joining the mailing list to receive the invitation direct to your inbox, please email leah@goldenappledesigns.co.uk and if you haven't become a fan of the facebook page yet, you can do so here.
The very first Leicester Wedding Club networking event took place yesterday, and what an amazing afternoon!
With over 50 wedding professionals in attendance over the course of the two hour event, the room was full of the sound of chat and laughter as people came together to discuss their work and ideas over a cup of tea.
If you attended, there is a full list of attendees on it's way to you via email.
A big thank you to Darren Cresswell for taking some fab photos of the event (you can view the full album here) and to The City Rooms for providing us with a fab venue for the first meeting!
If you'd like to give some feedback about the event, it would be really appreciated if you could fill out our short survey - it shouldn't take any longer than a minute! Click here to fill out the survey
